When cutting Hair Sample.
1. Drink a glass of water 10-30 minutes before cutting the sample.
2 Rinse area thoroughly before cutting hair (from back of head)
3. Make sure that hair has not been dyed 4 weeks prior to cutting.
4. If hair was dyed cut off the coloured area from the locks of hair. Handle hair as little as possible and mail with the order form.
5. Cut 2 small locks of hair, one from each side of the back of your head, as close as possible to your scalp. Each lock should be the size of 1/3 the width of your small fingernail. Place the hair in a small plastic bag. If no plastic bag is available wrap it in a tissue.
NOTE: If sending hair for more than one person, put the first hair in an envelope, seal it and write the name on the envelope before cutting the next hair sample. Repeat the process for each person cleaning the scissors between cuttings. It is very important to keep each hair sample separate and clearly identify with the person’s name on each envelope. The envelopes can be put into a larger envelope. Please enclose a list of all names with the hair samples.
